I'm wanting to get my hair braided & want to know what is the best style for african-americ

I want a style that is versatile, won't pull or damage my own hair %26amp; what types of "hair" can be used for the braiding process? Help!

This depends on how much money you are willing to spend. If you have endless money, go to the best salon that you can find and get real hair.

If you are strapped for money, then go with 'Yankee' hair. If you don't want your hair damaged or pulled, then simply ask the professional to braid it loose enough that it won't fall out, corn rows will be the lease damaging.

Be sure they are using products for the braiding process such as gels, creams, and oils if you need them. Deeply condition before the process and if it is done good, you can leave it in for up to 2 months.

Well has they always say you get what you pay for. You can get cornrows ,it won't last as long but will cost a little less then micros or medium size braids. Those cost a bit more but will last longer .As far as hair quality, you can use synthetic hair, for the cornrows or human. It 's all in the price and quality difference and how much you can afford same rules for the braids but the human hair looks better and it definitely last longer.

You can get twist and much more go to African braiding shop and you can explore the different style and price options
