i'm mixed and my bros/sistas are black but what helps is to get very tight braids and grease it daily and wear a durag to sleep and dont get it wet. or try massagin your scalp like 3-5 times a day it is slow but works.....i read it ina magizine

i use lustrasilk, moisture max...oil moisturizing hair lotion

or there's always pink oil moisturizer
