Mayonaisse for softer hair, olive oil for dryness.

Coconut oil is great too ...and Olive oil mixed with coconut oil.

I think one of the best hairconditioners is fresh Rosemary..seep it in water, and pour the strained liquid over as a final rinse. Rosemary seems to grown everywhere in hedges..so its easy to get some, and it also grows quickly from a cutting...The scent is beautiful too..so fresh and clean..

You are correct that Olive Oil is will aid in your friend's hair condition, but she will also need other conditioners. Tell her to look for conditioners that DO NOT have pertoleum, mineral oil or paraffin in them.

I used Paul Mitchell - The Conditioner and the put a small amount of Olive Oil over it, to seal in the moisture.

The reality is that as an black person, she doesn't have to use products so completely different from the ones you do. She simply needs to concentrate on those that provide moisture and protein.

She might want to get on the internet and find some black hair care sites that can give her more great information. I know lots of women have found great information that way.
