if i braid my hait at night befor i sleep and take it out in the day time or just fix it cause im a messy sleeper but im not races or anything im not braiding it everywhere and in the scalp like african americans do please dont take it the wrong way i am a white girl and just 1 big braid in the back of my head not a french braid cause i dont know how to do that but a normal braid ?

I am a hairdresser, and actually and kind of pulling with ponytails or braids will damage hair,especially if worn all the time.

Hair doesn't seem to get longer, b/c it breaks off,you can tell it grows especially if you have color (duh,roots). Get a trim every 6-8 weeks, weather you want to or not, it will help tremendously.Another great product is NIOXIN.

Think of it this way, if your hair is right below your shoulders, that hair is around 2 years old, it has been through alot and can only take so much.

Try getting a strengthening shampoo by Paul Mitchell, it's in a white and pink bottle and use the conditioner with it.

When your home and not going anywhere, don't dry your hair after a shower, just let it go.

And remember don't brush wet hair b/c it will snap off and obviously won't get any longer so opt for a comb instead.Hair stretches when it is wet, and the elasticity of hair starts to ware(like those elastic waist pants)and break off.

Your hair will grow. Just watch out for the ponytails and braids/buns, whatever you put it up in.

if you braid your hair at night it will prevent breakage or split ends. sadly there is nothing that will make you hair grow faster than : patience, lots of brushing (appr 100 strokes a night) and a regular trim and deep condition every month! :]
