Which flat iron?

I am an African American women that has real thick hair. I am growing out my relaxer because the chemicals are making my hair come out. I am not mixd so I have real tight curls. I guess I have what most people would call nappy but it is managable. I love the straight look What flat iron will be good so that i can get my roots?

I would recommend a ghd straightner, they cost around $300 and are probably the top hair straightners you can buy, most hair dressers use them

I straightned my friends hair (her sounds very similar) and it looked great

but maybe you have to use a hair serum first to make your hair smoother and also to help to get to your roots..

A paul mitchell Jade iron. you can get them thru your stylist. He/she can pick it up at any supply house. I use them on my customers. Reasonably priced too!!!

I know ceremic has been suggested for my hair, I have naturally curly hair... and the more curl your hair has the drier it is. This won't fry your hair like most irons, so I suspect that if you are already having hair issues from chemicals you may want to choose this one.

I gave up on trying to straighten my hair, I may not have super tight curls but I have a spot on the back of myhead that will not stay straight no matter what drying method you use... and I have tried all at once.. the ceramic is the only one that got my hair stick straight to last a while (humidity permitting)

best of luck... but why not embrace your curl... I love natural hair... over styled just takes so much time and energy... if you let it free you have much less beauty stress :)
