How do I care for a texturized hairstyle for african americans?

I got my hair texturized a week ago and it looks more like a dry kinky afro rather than want I thought. How do I get my hair to look and feel soft and loosen the curl? How long do texturized styles last before you put a relaxer on it?

You have to use a moisterizing curl activator on it. Or a good leave in conditioner. Try Kantu Shea butter leave in conditioner -- can only find it in Walmart. Or Ms. Jessie's Curl Pudding -- search it on line. Also use a really light but rich hair pomade like RoseH2o from Mizani.

Good luck

You should ask someone at the salon where you had it done
